Two siblings, brother and sister, have lost their parents. They're stuck in the custody of their gross uncle who forces them to take photographs and doctor them to make it look like their dead loved ones are in the picture. A fascinating process, and a real thing that shady people used to do. When they end up at a spiritualist settlement, the kids start to have real supernatural experiences.
